Study Cards on datatype, abstraction, abstractdatatype

A good type (dataType or class) supports an ...?
A good type (dataType or class) supports an ABSTRACTION.
Why is it possitive to use Encapsulation?
Keeping the details hidden, by using techniques such as ENCAPSULATION, will encourage portability and clear thinking.
Some modelers will stereotype a dataType as an AbstractDataType (or ADT). This is not part of the standard (and not part of the test), but it is useful.

An «AbstractDataType» declares that you have provided or prohibited all needed operations to maintain the consistency of the type.

An ADT has some mathematical or architectural ABSTRACTION in mind.
