Study Cards on lines, association, attribute
The lines are single, solid lines of any format.
In Fig. 10.13, we show the standard ways of connecting an association, from most preferred to least preferred.
Straight lines are usually preferred, followed by rectilinear lines, then oblique lines, and then followed by curves.
All are acceptable, and you should use what conveys your intent best.
In the examples above, we showed attributes, whose type is a class, (e.g., Book, Person, or Score), and how they work.

When the attribute’s type is a datatype, everything works about the same, except usually the only direction modeled is from the source class to the target datatype.
The association name is also typically not used, see Fig. 10.21.
